Toddlers with constant ear infection

Im not sure if Im posting this is the correct place. My 2 year old ( 3 in November) has had an ongoing ear problem since January. I have been to the doctors more times than I can remember and each time they have given me antibiotics. At first I was told inner ear infection which burst then they say outer ear! So I demanded to be referred. Im just worried that all this may effect her hearing. She is a tough cookie and throughout all of this she has been normal!! SUPER CHILD ! I go hospital tomorrow with her but Im just wondering if any body else has had similar things ?

I will throw in a bit of an off-the-wall suggestion

My dd had a run of repeated ear infections between the ages of 2-3ish, was repeatedly prescribed ABs which sometimes did and sometimes didn't work

Took her to a homeopath in the end. Now, it could have been a coincidence (I am an alternative therapies sceptic, btw) but she hasn't had one since and she's 5.6 now

My ds had multiple ear infections at that age, and at one point was diagnosed as on the autistic spectum. He wasn't - but constant pain and bunged up ears were affecting his ability to enjoy life and to hear (and therefore learn to speak). Sometimes our surgery would give antibiotics, sometimes n0t ('he must fight this off for hmself'), depending on who saw him. It was always that yellow liquid, which I have been told subsequently is often ineffective. My belief was that it was the same infection, never killed, just coming back stronger than ever. We changed doctors, I explained all this, the dear man gave ds a proper antibiotic for a longer period - and the whole thing was gone. DS more or less instantly started to communicate better and enjoy life. He did not get another ear infection for 6 years.

I had this with my ds at same age, lots of ear infections, lots of anti-biotics - eventually got him referred and consultant took one look down his throat and said "why are the doctors talking about ear infections, this child has badly infected tonsils and they need to come out NOW" and sure enough he got him in for op pdq and ds ears have been fine ever since. TBH the gp did look at his throat once but ds bit him (lol ) so he never looked again!
