Eardrum twitch when using my laptop!

I know it sounds really wierd doesn't it. But when I listen to music on my laptop or if I watch something on the catchup TV(any channel) my left eardrum starts twitching and I have this randon beating sound in my ear.

It also feels like there is a bit of pressure on the ear drum while this is happening. If I stick my finger in that ear the pressure seems to stop it happening(even though I can still hear the sound). As soon as I switch off the sound it disappears. I never get it when I am watching the TV only with the laptop and only one ear!

Anyone elso get this or am I totally nuts!

Will I have to resign myself to sticking my finger in my ear every time I put sound on my computer?
