Last night in the shower i thought i felt a lump under my rigt breast, it feels different to the left one and dp said he could feel a hard area there too.
I am due on my period and stopped bf 5 months ago so boobs changing again at the moment.
Should i just keep monitoring it till my period comes?

I just wanted to say that I found a lump a couple of years ago, the doctor was unsure and so referred me to hospital. There they did a biopsy and an ultrasound. Had to wait 2 weeks for the result but it turned out to be a breast mouse. They offered to remove it but I decided not to bother at first. After a year though it had grown and bothered me - I ended up having it taken out. Whats interesting is that there are so many different types of lumps that are absolutely not serious so the chances is yours wont be either. Best of luck tomorrow

JeanPoole · 11/06/2009 13:24

hope you getting on ok lovetochat
thinking about you.

ilovetochat · 11/06/2009 13:37

I'm back and i'm fine thanks. Had my appointment at 10.30 and had an examination and then a scan and a small lump was something to do with breast feeding and slight secretion was to attract the baby, obviously since stopping bf by breasts have shrunk a lot but this lump has remained and is therefore more noticable.
the large lump under my breast is a protruding rib as i have lost some weight.
doc says they dont do mammograms under the age of 35.
he showed me a way of sitting forward so breast tissue hangs and then examining in that position so you are just feeling breast instead of bone/muscle. he said that slim woman should examine sitting up?
I dont have to go back as the scan showed all tissue was fine.
thank you all for listening, sharing experiences and advice and being here

we go on tuesday.

CAN'T WAIT!

we are only going for 1 week though, so i'll soon be back

which resort is it you like going to in wales?
we are hopeing to go for a weekend sometime.

ilovetochat · 11/06/2009 21:44

we are going to fishguard on 20th for a fortnight, we love it.
we have had 2 nice breaks at Towyn on a very quiet caravan site when dd was 12 weeks and 8 months but wouldnt be so good now she is older and needs more to do.
and we have had 2 breaks at haven sites, great yarmouth was great, prestatyn was a bit crap.
i love holidays!

OP posts:
JeanPoole · 11/06/2009 21:58

loveto, i've just looked up how long it takes for us to drive to wales, over 4 hours

didn't think it was that far.
so i think we will have to stick with dorset or the east coast.

we are planning on going to lowestoft for our next weekend away, so we will check it out.

just been talking to a couple of other mumsnetters about caravans.

JeanPoole · 11/06/2009 21:59

i love holidays too.

i love planning them and everything.
i will start looking for next years main holiday soon

i like to plan ahead!

ilovetochat · 12/06/2009 14:30

will you booking for 3 or 4?
It takes us 2 hours to get to Towyn but Fishguard is right on the pigs nose and takes about 4 hours.
We saw some lovely villas in Portugal and would have booked to go this year but it is dps 50th so he wanted to do the cruise as something special. maybe next year.
I am saving my clubcard vouchers to swap for a butlins/havne type break in March next year, you get 4 times the amount, we have £50 vouchers so far so thats £200 off a holiday.
dds godparents are coming round Sunday which she will love as she hasnt been out all week. Im going to start putting packing out on the spare bed as we need to take everything.
Bad news, my stepdads aunt dies overnight, poor mom was so upset this morning.
DP got dd a lovely sunsuit, 2 piece and a hat from M&S yesterday for £14.

OP posts:
JeanPoole · 12/06/2009 14:54

i will defiantley be booking for 3
how about you?

so sorry to hear about your sd'd aunt

the cruise sounds great, dh likes going on holiday for one week unless it's a 2 center holiday or something, and i like two weeks.

so it would be great for us.
oh both your dp and my dh had milestone birthdays this year then, my dh turned 30 this year.
we might do something extra special next year as it's our 10 year anniversary and we haven't done anything much for either of our 30ifths
as dd was just a NB when i turned 30.
we still managed to go to brighton for the weekend though.

that's good about the clubcard, i always forget to use mine, i really should be more organised.
do you always use tescos to get that many points?

we are going to an 18th birthday party tonight, just about to do my nails

ilovetochat · 12/06/2009 15:26

i think we may try for another baby next year as it'd be a nice age gap and i'm 32 this year so cant wait forever.
we always shop online at tesco and get petrol/diesel from there for both cars and we have a tesco credit card so get more points off that. we got RAC cover through the deals this year for £26 for both of us, bargain!
dp was going to take me on a nice holiday for my 30th but dd was 3 months old so we went in a caravn for a week and then he bought me a car which i love!
I have just paid the holiday off and im excited now as they have finalised everything, dd is having a cot and balcony net. i am waiting for our passports to come back, had to buy all 3 as mine and dps ran out so it cost over £200
we are going on the tapas and togas break with oceanvillage.
have a good night tonight!

OP posts:
JeanPoole · 12/06/2009 16:27

i thought you might say yes you will try for another baby.
i noticed when you said something about what if the lump is something bad and you had to have treatment and it might affect
you being able to have another.

though of course having the choice taken away for anyone is awful.

we have alot on this year with dh finishing his studies.
and i think, we will think about thinking of it then !lol
iyswim.

i'm sort of trying to not think about it, but suppose i am sort of
part of me thinks im not ready for another, then another part thinks well if we do have another perhaps it would be better not to have a huge gap.
but i can see different gaps have different pros and cons.
oh dear i sound like a right nut job!

i daren't start anymore threads about
oh i don't know if i want another baby or not.!

when you say your going on the ocean village tapas cruise is that this year or next?
i'm getting muddled

i'm 32 this year too, how funny.

ilovetochat · 12/06/2009 19:40

we are going on the cruise in september this year as our birthday is in october.
my minimum age gap i could cope with is 3 years so if we try sometime next year then there will be a 3.5 year gap plus however long it takes to get pregnant, took 2 months last time but you never know do you.
it would be funny if we were both pregnant at the same time though wouldnt it.

OP posts:
JeanPoole · 14/06/2009 21:10

yes i know what you mean about you never know how long it will take.
when we started trying for dd.
i had one period then i was pregnant.
so i guess you call that 2 months?

what do you think about the sex of another child.
i suppose in one way it would be nice to have boy, but then it's nce to have a sister.
win win really

had a great time at the party
dd really enjoyed it.

going to pack tomorrow.
need to buy dd a fimble or itng dvd tomorrow
you don't know somewhere cheap i could try do you?

ilovetochat · 14/06/2009 21:58

glad you had a good night out!
not sure where is cheap for dvds really, tend to order off amazon, maybe tesco? dds favourite dvd is fifi, she loves it!
if we had another baby i wouldnt mind which sex, girl then boy is nice but as you say 2 girls is lovely too. if i had had a boy first though i definitley didnt want 2 boys, just couldnt cope with it.
whcih resort in majorca are you going to?

OP posts:
ilovetochat · 15/06/2009 13:14

bet you are busy packing, have a great time and chat in a few weeks when i get back from wales.
