sensitive tooth after filling

I had one of my lower back molars filled today and ever since, it's really sensitive especially if I bite down on it. I think it was a meduim sized white filling.

Is this normal? Have to confess, I haven't had a filling for many years...

I had this and found it gradually improved over a few days, and now it's fine.

My dentist says this is common with white fillings - he recommends using Sensodyne toothpaste and actually rubbing some toothpaste on your tooth after you've cleaned your teeth. I've found this works very well.
