Not sure whether to go for a white or silver crown....

I need a crown on one of my back molars - counting from the front it is the 6th tooth. If I smile really wide, you can see the tooth but I guess it doesn't popout at the moment as it's the same colour as the others. As I said in the title, not sure whether to go for a silver or a white one....Does anyone have any recommendations based on what they have?

Of course there's also the price - 200 euros for silver, 500 for white.....

thanks

I'd go for silver and I think it's more likely to last a lot longer too if it's silver.

white.
My only filling is a white one and I got it5 when I was about 14 and my mum couldn't really afford it, but she said she didn't want me to have a mouth full of silver like hers. It is expensive but I'd go white. I don't even know which tooth it is in now

dh says it's up to me which one I have and not to worry about the price we might be able to work something out with the dentist to pay it off....I am leaning towards white no idea why it's so expensive.....it's only little

Hi - I had to make this choice recently too on the same tooth and I ended up going for the white one. Even though it wouldn't really be seen, I would always know that the silver one was there and I didn't like the idea of it. No idea why, just preferred the idea of the white one.

Had to pay £280 (which I could have done without spending) for it as opposed to £0 for the silver one but I just wouldn't have been happy!

also leaning this was piff (great name!). Had a white filling yesterday and I can't stop looking at it- honestly, you wouldn't know it was there!
