Present ideas for someone undergoing radiotherapy/chemo?

My neighbour has been diagnosed with breast cancer and will be undergoing radiotherapy and chemotherapy. I'd like to do or take something round that will be useful and/or nice for someone having this kind of treatment but I don't know what... Can anyone help with ideas, please?

WHen a friend of ours had chemo and radiotherapy, her skin was really sore and she used loads of 'Simple' lotions and creams so we bought her a load of them.

An aloe vera plant. She can break off the leaves and rub the gel on her radiotherapy burns.

White Company cashmere bedsocks - expensive but beautifully packaged and make a lovely present.

Food for freezer, ready portioned up in freezable containers. Small tasty, nutritious meals for her to eat when she's hungry, regardless of the rest of the family.

Offer to help with lifts to treatment?

A Clarins lip balm - hospitals are always over heated and dry.

Do her housework. Chemo batters the immune system to buggery and she needs to have a nice clean home

Books on cd

Books

Dont buy her loads of scarves FFS. Dont mean to be rude but it can be a bit 'thanks for reminding me!'

The best gift I can think of is to offer your help and be specific AND make sure she knows you mean it. Lifts to hospital (she might have to go every day for a couple of weeks), taking the dog out, picking kids up, cleaning the bathroom etc.

Hope she gets well really soon.

Thanks everyone. These are all great ideas. I'll start getting a package together.

A good pal of mine bought a bottle of champaign....only to be opened when all chemo finished...to be saved on the mantel piece and savoured when good health returns....defo not IF good health returns..but WHEN.
Tis a fab symbol of looking forward.
