Sorry, but can i ask a question about post-natal periods?

Just restarted periods after a year of breastfeeding DD2 and they seem bizarrely heavy or at least far heavier than ever before.

Is it normal for there to be a change like this after birth? Or could it just be that, to be blunt, pushing out a blinking great head means that tampons no longer fit ...?

(Like i say, sorry for asking.)

Yes its normal. your womb hasnt "shed" its lining for nrly two years...so yes.it should settle down within the first few periods.
