Bleeding Piles - help!

MsMuffet · 21/05/2009 15:05

Had a baby 3 months ago and now plagued with a bleeding haemmorhoid. Been to the doc who prescribed suppositories and a stool softener which have helped but I seem to be stuck in a terrible cycle - it heals but then ruptures again. If anyone out there has any advice or brilliant suggestions I'd love to hear it.

Many thanks

I have been plagued with piles since the birth of my 3rd child.

They seem to clear up then come back with a vengeance!

Try using suppositories continuously for a week or so.

Eat plenty of fibre and fresh fruit and veg.

Drink lots of water.

If they are particularly big with lots of bleeding and pain then I suggest you go to the GP. In extreme cases they can operate but I believe the op is quite nasty.

At them moment I am perservering with the above.
