I need help sleeping. My 3 year old keeps waking up in the night but I can't sleep all night as I am anticipating the waking up so on the rare occasion that he sleeps through I can't sleep.
This has been going on since christmas so am exhausted and with working part time and 2 kids plus a husband need some help.
I have tried Valerian but does not seem to help.

I feel your pain. Why do you think your 3 year old is not sleeping?
Start a new thread with that title.
I'm an insomniac because I worry about work so not the same.
I make sure the room is cool but not cold.
I wear bedsocks
I don't drink tea or coffee after 7pm
I have a Roberts radio pillowtalk headphone goes under the pillow. It distracts me from my worries and I sleep.
I used to use BBC 7 to help me sleep but they now have Cbbies from 5am which is very annoying and not distracting. Try radio 4.
That's my tips so far.
Hope it helps

Hi,
I tried valerian previously and thought it didn't work, but then read it has an acculmative effect and you need to take it every night for up to four weeks to see the benefits. I recently started taking it again and now after three weeks I am getting off to sleep straight away and getting a good 6/7 hours deep sleep.
