Flu before periods

I know this sounds crazy but I have had really bad flu symptoms before my period. However, it is to the point where I'm laid up in bed for 1-2 days with chills, muscular pain and generally feel about 90 yrs old then my period hits and then I instantly feel ok.

I had this problem about 4-5 times last year and now it's happened about 3 times this year. I don't know whether I'm too active as I have a gardening business but only around school hours. The kids are young 3.5 and 5 years and the dogs as well it is hard going.

Does anyone else get this and if they do how do you alleviate the symptoms - I can't keep on like this. I'm going through it again and I feel really sorry for dh and dc's

I think I have had something similar; really bad sweating at night. Like having a temperature. and I used to have pains in legs badly too. I was suffering from terrible mood swings as well.

Can I ask what contraception you are using? only i was on progesterone only pill for ages to alleviate the pms and it cleared up the sweating as well as the moods.

Sorry not to offer any solutions but sympathy.

Someone told me that these aches and pains might be related to salts [or other mineral ]deficiency, but I dont know for sure. It may be something you want to research. As it might be fixable with diet.

Hope it gets better sounds miserable.

Could it be anything to do with endometriosis? Try googling and see what the symptoms are.
