probably conjunctivitis. can buy antibiotic drops from any chemist (in the UK) the same that are usually prescribed. don't need to see a GP as long as your vision is not affected.

Sheeta · 14/05/2009 14:29

Not necessarily, do you have a cold?

If the sclera is red, then it's mostly conjunctivitis, if not then it might just be blocked ducts. You can get drops from the pharmacist, I'd go and ask them for advice. Give the GP a wide berth, you'll only pick up swine flu

have a sore throat and fevery cold thing

what is the scelera!?

the corner bit of my eye is very red compared to the other one. Was trying to avoid gp, getting an appointment is a nightmare!

Sclera

and a lovely picture of conjunctivitis

Sheeta · 14/05/2009 14:41

oh, in previous message, I didn't mean to say 'mostly conjunctivitis', I meant most likely conjunctivis. Sorry

Tamarto · 14/05/2009 14:42

Hayfever used to do that to me.

if it's conjunctivitis, it's well contagious - the last attack went right round the family and back to DH for a second time!
