Aching Feet

Along with everything else, my feet started to swell during pregnancy, and walking on them used to hurt when i got up in the morning. 5 months after giving birth, they hurt all day and i can barely walk on them...has anyone else experienced something similar?

Yeah try lying down, on the floor was comfiest for me, with your feet up on the couch. Ice packs ease swelling quite a bit. try shock absorbing insoles for you shoes too whilst walking. Shoemarket do a good one about £1.

Hope this helps.

My feet burned and ached. I got some of that mint/tea tree oil foot cream which helped and yes put them up.

yes I have the same problem I think it is something called plantar fasciitis which is pain in the soft tissues of the feet.

I also went up a shoe size which helped a bit and may go back to dr if doesn't go this time!

I have had this and advised amny mumsnetters with similar problems to get some orthotic arch supports, Boots do them.

They fit inside your shoes and gently stretch your fallen arches back to where they belong. Do you wear a lot of flat shoes (Birkies?)

Wear a heeled shoe until it feels better. Also stretch your calves in bed by flexing your feet upright
