ok, this post is very much in the spirit of 'concerned chat' rather than paranoid parent panic.... but, if my 4yo dd has got this right, and her friend x has indeed just flown back from a lovely holiday in mexico, should she be in class? or maybe take a few days off, till swine flu incubation time has passed??

anyone know the official advice in this type of scenario, given that many cases have been contracted on board planes?

think if they are well and not showing any symptoms it's not a problem. Doesn't someone ask people on the planes now if they've had any symptoms? So if anyone on the plane had symptoms they'd be advised to stay away but if they were all OK not a problem? Incubation period is on official leaflet and is quite short (2 days?).

Assuming she did not get off the plane and go straight to nursery, the incubation period would already have passed. It says here "After infection, it takes less than two days for symptoms to start."

If the child is well, I don't think it's anything to worry about.
