is there any reason why the copper coil wouldnt suit ,me?

since having ds1 3 years ago iv had very spotty skin, mainly my face on the right side. had numerousanti biotics and saw 2 dermatologists but nothing has worked. got pg with ds2 (now neraly 6 months) and when i was pg my skin was fine, then after i had him my skin is really bad and its really getting me down. i cant have the combined pill due to migraines so on the progesteron only pill. Pretty sure its a hormonal thing. gp suggested copper coil as no hormones to affect me. ive not heard great storys about it, pains, heavy periods etc. i have always been irregular so that worrys me too..

is there any reason it wouldnt help my sin? should i have it put in? very scared of the insertion aswell as when i had smear before ds2 it was so painful gp sent me for internal scan to make sure no probs! also have alot of scar tissue as 2nd time round was left to heal naturally...will this make it hurt more?

I used the copper coil in between having DS2 and DD. I can't use hormones..

It worked well for me.. but I know other people have had some problems.

insertion was actually not a problem.. but again this is just my experience.

It did make my periods heavier.. but tbh it was fine.

I chose it because without hormones there isn't a huge choice. before I had the coil I used persona.. which also worked very well.. I'm not sure if you can get it or the sticks tho. but someone on here may know.

might not be great with regard to irregular periods.. but at least it's something else to have a look at ..

OOOOH NOOOO! i def dont want any more kids. dh on list for the snip but takes 3 months wait then dont get all clear until 4 months after having it done. I hate condoms and cant cope with this pill for best part of a year more..

It is the best thing I have ever had.
I can't forget to take it, yes periods are slightly heavier but they are still settling down 18 months down the line and falling into a regular pattern.
Pain...I don't get much and before having DS period pain used to have me laid up in bed for 2 days every month. Just the occasional twinge when the uterus contracts a bit.
My skin isn't brilliant and completely clear but it sooooo much better than it used to be. I can live with the occasional spot!
I went on because of migraines and am never going back to anything else!
