About 4 years ago, a year after birth of our first child, my wife noticed that one of her eye (balls) was protruding slightly, (kind of Marty Feldmanish) She has a whole load of tests to check for anything behind (tumour)and a range of blood tests. Result nothing. she still has the eye thing but since then has developed an absolutely furious temper. Her moods swing dramatically. A small slight will set her of..its like watching a volcano brew and then erupt..she ends in tears. Sometimes a few hours later its as if it didn't happen. I know blokes can be insensitive pigs and all that but honest to god i am trying so hard and I know this is just not right. Myself and our DS (4) spent our time apologising and trying to calm the anger. Its tearing us apart and I just don't know what to do. She's had follow up blood tests for thyroid I think but nothing seems to result in the sense of a clear diagnosis of anything amiss or a treatment. Does anyone know what this could be? I found something called Pagetts disease on the net but then none of the doctors have come back with this. She's stopped bothering with the the tests.

Have they checked for Graves disease (google it and see if it fits)??

Thanks for the reply..I stupidly wrote pagets before(another sperate worry!) what I meant was Graves..i did know about that. Problem is many of the symptoms don't fit. The eye does, but weight loss is not. I just thought that the specialist she saw would have considered that as such an obvious thing to look into. He didn't come back with a diagnosis of that. didn't come back with any diagnosis.

Did they check that she didn't have a minor stroke? Just my first thought with the dramatic mood changes.
