Does anyone else get phantom kicks when they're not pregnant?

As namechange will attest, I'm definately not pregnant. I had my second baby a year ago and in the last few weeks I have felt what I can only
describe to be kicks in my tummy. It's so strange, and I don't know what could be causing it. Am I the only one this happens to??

you need to fart.

I get flutter type kicks sometimes too. Must be wind as people say thats what first kicks feel like!
You say you get actual kicks though - are you SURE you arent pregnant? You know that after a certain time of bein pregnant tests will show up as negative?
Happened to my SIL and she was quite pregnant!

Wind eh?
Why did I never feel this before having children? Have they rearranged my insides that much

Yup, it's wind

Nighbynight · 06/05/2009 21:28

yup I get this too. We probably just never noticed it before, but now we think "the Babys kicking!" automatically.

Makes me wonder how much of that kicking was wind when I was pg.

MamaHobgoblin · 06/05/2009 22:04

I get this a lot (I also have a bit of a wind thing). Trapped wind. A few months ago I honestly thought, for a few seconds, that I was 5 months pregnant and hadn't noticed!

MmeLindt · 06/05/2009 22:06

I get this, and think that it is wind and that I only notice it now that I have had the "real thing".

I like it, it reminds me of my pregnancies. No intention of having another so this is as close as it gets.

akhems · 06/05/2009 22:08

yep, very often

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 06/05/2009 22:10

Yes I get this too and sometime it really is like a kick and tummy is moving about, shortly followed by a riotous fart

onepieceofcremeegg · 06/05/2009 22:12

I had it between dd1 and dd2. I think it was a mixture of wind and also wishful thinking in my case. I was about to start ttc and pg was on my mind a lot, even though at that stage I was still taking precautions and pg was unlikely. It did feel very much like the kicks one gets at around 20-30 weeks ish.

merlinthehappypig · 06/05/2009 22:17

I get this too. I think it must be some kind of muscle spasm, (am prefering to think it's not wind), but always panic that maybe i AM pregnant and blimey I shouldn't be necking the wine quite so much.

LovelyDear · 06/05/2009 22:19

i get this a lot too. i once panicked so much that i was pregnant (even though i couldn't possibly be) that i did a test, and was then amazed that i wasn't.

that and the bizarre buzzing vibrating thing that makes me think my phone is in my pocket when it isn't.......
