Do you think it would it be safe to take some paracetamol?

Last night I started feeling ill, going hot and cold, headache, sneezing, coughing and feeling sick.

I went to bed at 8 and for a couple of hours I was up and down feeling like I was going to be sick and the room was spinning.

I have woken this morning and feel really sick, headache etc and occasionally going light headed, I need to take something for the head as it is getting worse, would it be ok to take some paracetamol after a milky coffee? I don't think I could stomach anything else at the minute.

Why wouldn't it be OK??

Yes but take your temp first!
Sounds like you've got an infection~have you got a sore throat?

Lovemyshoes · 06/05/2009 09:34

lal123, I was questioning it because I didn't know whether it would be safe to take on an empty stomach, I know that you can't with some medication.

morning sun, I have had a sore throat for a couple of weeks, but nothing really bad etc. It does seem a little worse this morning though.

Shine a torch into your throat and look in a mirror to see if tonsils are big or covered in spots/white stuff.
Have plenty to drink and if temp high or high then low then high again,go to dr.
If the symptoms are like a bad cold likely to be virus but if theres one main thing thats especially bad like throat,or cough might be infection needing A/B.
Dizziness could just be part of the general infection or could be labyrinthitis[virus affecting inner ear ]
