Yet another tummy bug :(

Sorry if this post is a bit whiny but I'm feeling sorry for myself and DD who's just turned 2.

Just before Christmas DD got a nasty tummy bug with diarrhoea and vomiting and I came down with it a couple of days later. On Friday she had another one and right now I have the dreaded feeling in my tummy.

I'm scrupulous with hygiene, is it normal to have these bugs a couple of times per year? Before DD I rarely had these!

Yup 'fraid so. Little ones seem to pick them up more easily because I guess their immune systems are less established than adults. Cleaning up after someone else's diarrhoea and sick is a pretty sure fire way to pick it up for yourself.

children are germ factories!, before dd i had a cast iron stomach and never got these things, last year dd, dp and me had the d&v bug 3 times, i'm going to send her to nursery in a biochem suit this winter
