Just in the shower I noticed that my abdomen on the right hand side is swollen. I've had stomach cramps all morning but I have IBS so it's not unusual (also had 2-3 bouts of diarrhoea first thing, again not unusual). I have an appendix scar underneath the swelling, but the swelling is quite definite, and a bit firmer than the rest of my abdomen. I really shouldn't be pregnant, I have an implant (due to be changed in August this year) also had a short 'period' only 2 week ago.
The cramps are a bit painful but I'm quite used to them - any idea what this swelling could be? I think it's got a bit more painful in the last hour but probably because now I've noticed it I'm thinking about it (and keep poking it!)
NHS direct website a bit useless, diagnoses me with an 'upset stomach'. We're supposed to be going away overnight in a few hours so don't want to phone them to get told to go to A&E on a wild goose chase.
