Allergic reaction...what to do?

I've been taking ibuprofen for about 2 weeks on and off, and I've had really bad itching and skin rashes. Being thick, I didn't put the two together until today, and googled it.

According to the 'DRUGS' website, this is a common side effect and I should stop taking it. Fine. But it also mentions black stools..I have had one (that I have noticed). It says that this is a sign of bleeding in the stomach and that I should get medical attention. I've done normal poo since then though, (sorry for TMI), and don't want ot bother my GP if it's not necessary.
Anyone with experience?

no, but perhaps a call to NHS direct would put your mind at rest?

You have real symptoms and are worried about them. So please go to your Dr. It's what they're there for!

I would ring NHS 24 IMMEDIATELY if you're reading this out of hours. Otherwise ring your Dr and get an urgent appointment.

I'm not trying to worry you, but really why wouldn't you go to the Dr? We are so lucky to have the NHS, why not use it when you are unwell - I don't get it?!
