Swine Flu - Still going to baby groups?

What do you think, should I still be taking my 2mnth old to baby groups and baby swimming?

Without over reacting, should I limit the number of people we come into contact with? I'm sure if me or DH got it we would recover but it would be so dangerous for a baby.

What do we think?

My DH and I have just decided to cancel our planned holiday with our 2 month old baby (he was premature and very small too), as we don't believe the risks involved in his having contact with hundreds of people in an airport and on the aeroplane are justified for the sake of a holiday. Maybe some would think we are over reacting, but I can live with that. I have tried for many years to have a baby, he was born early and small and is beginning to thrive, it does not seem right to expose him to any risk now. Does this really seem unreasonable?

I don't think its unreasonable if going would mean that you weren't able to relax and enjoy your holiday. Holidays are supposed to be relaxing

I heard this morning about 2 mums not taking their little babies to our usual Friday morning group -- because of Swine Flu. I said
"Give 'em the long summer holidays cooped up with baby all day and nobody to talk to, you watch, I betcha they'll risk it coming to our group in September" -- when (ironically) swine flu will be much more widespread than it is now.

I went to a stay and play group on Monday that you normally have to get there early for - there was 6 including parents instead of usual 30.
