What are two pea sized lumps on either side of the back of dd2's neck?

Are they swollen nodes or glands of some sort? I remember her having them when she was younger (I don't think they necessarily went away, but I didn't notice them again iyswim), and she is poorly at the mo. Thye are quite noticebale to feel.

They could be lymph nodes. DD1 had very noticeable ones especially when she was ill and her immune system was really having to work.

yes they are lymph nodes, they do appear bigger as they fight infection, you will probably feel them enlarged for a month or so after she feels better, however, my ds has never got rid of his, they are still very noticable

Has she had chicken pox yet? DS had these and lots of the mums at nursery said it was an early sign of the pox.

thanks, thought they must be something like that. Yes she has had cp LB. Poor love is puking again tonight and hasn't eaten anything much last few days. Oh well, at least she seems more cheerful and herself than last few days.
