My dc are 17 14 and 6 !
Ive recently been hyperthyroid but seems a more settled now. Im on medication for high blood pressure.
Nothing else really.
I was in bath this afternoon, sorry if its a little TMI, but i just kind of felt a let down from nowhere-i looked down and there was this huge blob of colostrum leaking out of my left nipple.
Obviously concerned i expressed the other one and same thing.
Anyone any suggestions please-i`m not too concerned but do wonder if its normal ?
Cheers x

i frequently lactate and it is 3 years since i last fed a baby. Even had let down in supermarket cause there was a baby crying!

This sounds like a symptom of hyperthyroidism - I have it myself and my consultant mentioned this when it was first diagnosed. Maybe ask your doctor next time you have a review.

can be a hormone imbalance or linked to certain types of medication amongst several reasons.

It's worth seeing your dr about it.

Right o thanks everyone-so it could be completely normal but also maybe a symptom of hyperthyroidism.
My recent tsh was ok but i am losing weight again so will see dr.
Cheers x

Ah, but I am taking thyroxine for hypothyroidism and, according to my endocrinologist, I have perfectly normal hormone levels (despite the dark pigment patches on my face).

fakeblondie · 17/04/2009 21:51

MM i have dark pigment patches - in fact a few years ago it because raw and i was treated for rosacea even tho i had no spots-just sore red patches .

Mine are brown, similar to the markings (chloasma? sp) that some get whilst preg.

Like huge freckles, started with one down centre of forehead (before DC) which several work collegues thought I'd got dirt on my face (which strangely has now gone).

Then some either side of forhead, fairly symetrical. Then along each cheekbone, fingerprint sized freckles - looks like poor blusher application! Now around my mouth and on my chin - this is first year of chin, getting worse each year.

I use SPF 15 every day of the year, often higher in summer, but at the first sign of sun out the all come - they are there all year round, but more prominent in summer.
