Smear test results show change in cells....

Just had results of my smear test, there showing change in cells. Have to go back in 4 months from the date of the smear and check if they have cleared or need treatment.
Has anyone ever this happen?

Thank you for messaging back, I was really worried once she said I had cancer. I went to doctor about the bleeding problems and it was to do with my pill not being strong enough so that's one good thing I guess and that's all sorted but Iam just more confused and scared about Abnormal changes and that they need to investigate has anyone had this and what actually happens ? As I have asked nurses and no one is explain it to me which is getten me even more worried
