hi candy,

I had a tooth out about 3 weeks ago as well and the hole is still massive. I can feel that it's filling in a bit though as I can't feel bone when I put my tongue in anymore. The dentist said it would fill in really slowly so I woudln't worry

it takes a long time for the hole to go.

do you actually have a dry socket though? thgat's incredibly painful and needs treating again by the dentist.
or is it just that you still have the hole?

Do you just mean the hole? I had 2 wisdom teeth out nearly 3 years ago and the hole has only just gone completely.

Or do you mean dry socket - a really painful condition where the blood clot falls out and the jaw bone beneath becomes inflammed and extremely painful. It needs to be packed and you might also need ABs is there's a soft tissue infection.

glad your dry socket is better! i'm dreading one and have to have a tooth out soon.

when i had (another) tooth taken out last year it took about 3 months to fully heal.

ahh glad your pain has gone, dry sockets are horrid (had one myself last time)
the hole will take forever to heal, I can't remember how long mine took but it was def months rather than weeks
