itchy, sore water blisters in patches all over hands, eczema?

I think its eczema (I get eczema patches on my legs), and i have had it before, but this time it is so sore, and my thumb has started to crack and bleed.

Has anyone had anything like this, and what worked to clear it? I have tried Aveeno and aqueous cream, but it's just getting worse

i get these, but unfortunately, they don't go away quickly. I sometimes let it dry up a bit before putting cream on as otherwise it stings. Maybe a bit of hydrocortisone to get it under control?

Thanks, I tried hydrocortisone, but it just seemed to make it worse, and yes it really stung!

Do you think you might have Hand, Foot and Mouth on top of your eczema?

meep · 08/04/2009 10:24

I get this in summer when my hands sweat a lot - I get little blisters which pop, then my skin peels off and can result in cracks and bleeding. You have my sympathy but I still haven't come across a cure or way of preventing it

sounds like this

Yes it looks like that is it Showofhands, thanks for that link, I'll have a proper read later.

I'm off to the doctors now about something else, so will ask them to have a look at it, just in case it is hand foot and mouth.

Thankyou

I have pompholox ezcema and it itches like mad, even when it's not flared up I can feel the bumps under the skin. My doctor gave me a hydrocortisone cream for it and it did help.

I'm back from the doctors, with a sackful of medicine!

It seems my eczema has flared up from being run down, and become infected, so I've been given some fucidin and hydrocortisone.

My asthma has returned after years of not having any problems, so i've got an inhaler too, I wonder if it's connected.

Thankyou all
