Have felt not quite right for a while, went to gp last week and have blood tests today for Thyroid, Diabetes, Glandular fever and full blood count.

Symptoms are: weight gain, feelin tired all the time, moody, dry skin, funny taste in mouth, occasional nausea.
Over the past week my stomach is even bigger and I can't fir in any clothes

So i only went and googled

All sorts came up but ovarian cancer covered almost all the syptoms.

I know its silly but I'm shitting myself!!!

no point seeing gp till have blood test results through.

was on depo injection and now mini pill so can't see it being pregnancy.

Sorry guys just needed to air it

I know googling is bad

I don't think ibs as bowels are pretty perfect and its not affected by what i eat.

Am hoping something simple, haven't don a pg test but think i will just to rule it out. Would not be good if i was

Just need to stop panicking, my dad has cancer and went from fit and healthy one week to maybe going to die the next

My sister had ovarian cancer 8 years ago and she didn't put on any weight nor did she have the other symptoms bar tiredness. She's always been a bit of a dormouse anyway so again that passed fairly unnoticed.

She had a 12lb tumour hidden in her tummy which none of us spotted so don't assume weight gain is anything bad!

You need to see your GP - it's no good googling or even asking on here.

Simplysally · 31/03/2009 12:47

Btw obviously my sister's tumour was bad news for her but your weight gain may not be bad for you iyswim.

Nabster · 31/03/2009 12:47

I haven't been feeling great either and seem to have quite a few symptoms of ovarian cancer. I am telling myself it is coinicidence until I get my results back of a swab on Thursday.

I hope you are okay magnolia74.

magnolia74 · 31/03/2009 12:47

When did you have your last depo? Body takes a while to get over it - gives fake pregnancy symptoms.

magnolia74 · 31/03/2009 12:50

last depo was december 5th so quite a while

deanychip · 31/03/2009 13:31

I agree, it took about 2 years for me to stop having funny symptoms after my last depo injection...yes 2 years.

Constant bleeding, bloated abdomen etc.
wish i had never had it in the first place tbh.

magnolia74 · 31/03/2009 14:19

Me again...... Just read that having a tummy bug can stop the pill from being absorbed. I though it was only vomitting but it says diarrhea too?? Had a really bad tummy bug 2 weeks ago!!!!!! Surely its not that easy to get pg on mini pill is it?
