has anyone given up smoking using patches?

googling seems to say it's not particularly successful.

And will probably use them again next time

(seriously, I did properly give up using patches. I would recommend them)

See if you can get yourself on an NHS stop smoking programme - they give you them for free there.

My stop smoking advisor at GP's highly recommended these but I became so fed up of the patches falling off and having to re-apply that on the 5th day I decided to go cold turkey. That was exactly 9 weeks ago and still smoke free.

All the best, if you really are determined to quit you'll do it!

they are good (so far) the nhs give them out free? i thought you could just get them on prescription

I gave up on patches, I thought they were really good.

Yes I did

I used them for the recommended 3 months

(1 month on the big one, 1 on middle, 1 on small)

I was on 20 a day, haven't had a fag for 9 years, hooray)
