Dh has a red mole

My Dh has a small red mole in the middle of his back. It has been there since i have known him (nearly 4yrs)and it hasn't changed at all. It is exactly the same as an ordinary mole except it is red. He is reluctant to go to a doctors for anything, but i worry. Should he see about getting it removed? Or just keep a close eye on it? His mother died of cancer 2yrs ago after suffering for 15yrs.

It's probably nothing but any mole that you are remotely worried about should be checked out by a doctor.

I have a lot of red moles (or nevus), as these type are often called; as does my mother. Usually totally benign and nothing to worry about. My mother has never worried about her red moles and therefore I've never worried either. Sounds like that's what your dh has got. But if in doubt get it checked.

I think these are called Campbell de Morgan spots, I have a couple and they're nothing to worry about apparently!

I have one on my arm. I did a bit of research a while ago and as far as I am aware it is nothing to worry about. If it ever starts changing then he should go to doctor to get it checked out.
