Yes! Amoxicillin gives me diarrhoea but not too terrible. Can't remember about M. I'm not medically qualified, though. Is it really, really bad or just annoying?

Juwesm · 25/03/2009 20:45

Could be either - common side-effect for both. I would continue to take them unless the diarrhoea gets really out of hand. Plenty of fluids etc, take the antibiotics after food.

its every 10 mins like water and stinging
have taken some diocalm

Hmmm, that doesn't sound too good at all! Why don't you miss out this evening's doses and call GP (or dentist) in the AM for advice. May not need to continue both, for example. Metro on its own may be enough for a dental infection (although it sounds from your post like the amoxicillin may have been started at some point after the metro was started, perhaps because it didn't seem to be doing the job?)

Is there a dentist in the house?

candyfluff · 26/03/2009 07:38

ive not been off the toilet all night ,my tummy is making awful noises
have taken 3 diocalm so far and its slowed it down a little im almost certain its the amox coz the same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago when i was on it for abscess

How are you now? What did the dentist/GP say? I hope you are feeling a bit better.
