Post natal bleeding at 9 weeks

I had a anti biotics for a uterine? infection (passed very large clots in days after the birth) so expected to bleed for a while longer.
However, nine weeks later I'm still bleeding and am further worried as today following three afternoons of period type pains and some dragging/pulling sensations, (although I don't know if I have had a period because of the bleeding) I passed a clot larger than a tampon which I can only describe as being hard and fibroid like in apearance (quite unlike the blood clots earlier on).
I haven't had any pains since, but have resumed light bleeding.
Sorry for if tmi, I was hoping somebody could tell me if they had experienced anything similar or knew what it could be to put my mind at rest.
I will be mentioning it at my post natal check next week.

Hiya - I had an infection after dd2. Also passed some nasty clots, personally I would not wait until next week I would call gp and ask for a scan - my friend had one after her ds was born due to infection/ complications and I think you really need the "you'll be fine" from someone who really knows

Sounds like you may have had a bit of retained placenta - I bled for 13 weeks, and eventually passed a lump. The bleeding stopped two days later, so I'm sure it was that.
