I've got two moles that keep scabbing over, dropping off and re-growing - I really don't want to go to the doc

I've had them for years but this scabby thing is recent - last few months. One is on my back where my bra strap is and one is on the back of my neck where my coat collar is.

I think they are just doing it because clothing is catching.

I really REALLY don't want to go the docs.

Its pretty normal isn't it? DH had one on his waist that did it, was catching on his jeans. He wants me to go to doc. I don't wnat to. WWYD?

I still think you should go! Take DD!

LackaDAISYcal · 27/03/2009 11:33

You need to go and you know it

Dose DD up with calpol, wrap her up and take her with you.

I had a mole in my hairline that was doing much the same thing, except getting knocked by my hairbrush. Turns out it was a rodent ulcer, which is a type of (non malignant) skin cancer and needed to come off.

how is babyG?

LackaDAISYcal · 27/03/2009 11:34

oops...wags finger obv!!

LackaDAISYcal · 27/03/2009 19:55

Did you go???

MamaG · 29/03/2009 20:22

yes I went! He said they seem fine, but will remove them anyway as they are getting caught on clothing.

I'm rather worried about the removal but will psycho myself up!

BabyG has a cold and a cough but is still lovely and smily, of snotty! how is your babe?

Pleased to hear that you went and that the moles seem fine.

Don't worry about getting them removed, should be done under a local anaesthetic which is a bit nippy to begin with but is then ok.

MamaG, I had one removed on my back (kept catching in my bra strap) and I honestly didn't feel it. They numb the area first, which felt like a teeny pinch - like at the dentist, but less. Then, nothing. I kept waiting, gritting my teeth, and was amazed when the man said 'um, its finished now'

Good luck!
