I'm 24 and recently my periods have become random. Since December I have had one period. I went to my GP who referred me for all the tests... had an ultrasound scan and blood tests to check hormonal levels, and routine blood tests. All results appeared normal. However, I went to my GP yesterday to ask why the sudden randomness to my cycle and she told me if I didn't have a period within 4 weeks, they would send me for further investigation.

This morning, after no pmt whatsoever (which is very unusual for me), I started. I'm really worried that it might just be spotting and that something might be wrong.

Can it be normal to to get your period without any pmt symptoms? My boobs are not even slightly sore, whereas usually I can't even put a top on within them hurting.

P.S - I don't have any children.

Are you under a lot of stress for some reason at the moment? Or have you recently lost a lot of weight? Both of those can cause your periods to go a bit haywire.

bump for someone who might have experience of this?

Been relatively stressed but mostly due to wrrying about my periods. Plus I am a born worrier anyway.

I am moving house soon too, but although a bit stressful, I don't feel it could have stressed me enough to warrant random period action.
