Am I likely to escape this bug? When everyone else has had it!

Last weekend both my boys started being sick, ds1 quite bad for about 36 hours then Ok and back to school on Weds. Ds2 started sat, finished thurs so not so quick.

I didn't have anything despite being exposed...then my dad rang this morning to say my mother has it and was sick last night

She has spent a few days with me and one or both the children this week, and also helped clean the 'spare' bathroom on Friday - which I had sprayed randomly with bleach but not got round to cleaning properly.

So either she has got this thing from her cleaning efforts (oh the guilt) or else it's unrelated and she got it from work or something.

I'm emetophobic and have washed my hands so much in the last week that they have been totally raw. So I don't know if it was this or just sheer luck - or if I am about to get ill as well now!

What are the odds?

Have no idea if you're going to get it but ds2 had it all last week and is now better.
However dh had stomach pains about 11pm last night and has been up all night with d&v.
He even suggested sleeping in the bathroom.

So far me and ds1 have been ok.
Dh is up now and hasn't been sick again,but has used the toilet a few times.
Mind you when ds2 had it last week,he was only sick the once,but his nappies were horrific!

I wonder if it has somehow skipped a generation with us. Last time ds had a yukky sick thing, I felt dreadful (not sure if I had it or just made myself ill by refusing to eat) but mum got it the next day and was sick, so she seems to get things worse than I do.

Yes I have NEVER smelt anything as bad as ds2's nappies last week!
