My 3 year old girl has had diarrhoea for the last 5 days. She's fine otherwise and still has her appetite, I need advice on what to feed her and are there any medicines for a 3 yr old? Thank you

You'd probably be best just popping her in to the doctor, I think, after 5 days.

My little girl always got funny with lactose after a tummy bug so I used to keep her off milk and things with milk in for a few days, and give her Solgar ABCDophillus powder in drinks, although I'm sure there are other types of acidophillus for kids out there. I also used to give her lots of live yoghurt (which sounds like it contradicts the the milk advice but, apparently, the lactose is fermented in yoghurt - or so I've been told! It works for us, anyway).

A friend of mine took her son into A&E with a bad sickness & diarrhoea bug once and they told her to give him lots of cranberry juice - apparently there's something in the cranberry juice to help.

But, after 5 days of it, I'd think it'd be worth popping in to see your doctor.
