Weird kicking in stomach area but not pregnant... what is it?

Today and yesterday I've had strange sporadic non-painful feelings in my lower stomach area. I did a pregnancy test and am not pregnant (plus have had periods! and am due on this week).

The feeling is best described as similar to when you get a twitch in a muscle - I get them in my eye quite a lot - but this, quite a bit under the surface of my skin of I guess my lower abdomen.

It does feel quite like those first times you feel a baby kick, which is a little alarming

Any idea as to what it might be???

Wind!! I often get it - although don't recall having it before I had teh DCs so maybe something triggered it then.

No idea, but I quite often get it. Have assumed it was my bowels moving about.

I get it too and secretly hope I am have a missed pregnancy (but I never have)

Yes, it's wind/general gut movement (that's the technical term, BTW ). It is very disconcerting.

Gawd, how embarrassing! Can't believe I thought it might be something more sinister than wind

Thanks all. Maybe it just feels different when you've had a baby and recognise that kicking feeling?
