What should I do?

Been on pill since 18 (now 37) apart from 4 year period trying to conceive dd and a brief 6 months gap recently. I know I don't want any more children. So, what should I do? I know the pill cannot be doing me any good long term. What might my options be? (Condoms out from dh point of view). Thanks in advance for any advice.

Mirena - fabulous!

Vasectomy. Easy, quick, not really that painful (compared to childbirth!).

Tube tie or get him to have the snip. Why should you have to do it all?

I was in exactly the same position (also on pill since 18 and now 37!). Didn't want to go back on the pill after DS was born and knew I didn't want another child. GP recommended either Implanon implant or the coil. Didn't fancy the coil, I went with the implant. Don't have any problems with it, period seem few and far between though which is good in general but can be concerning at times!

yep, if def no more kids then get him to have the snip.

tell him it's all down to him from now on in, you've been in charge long enough.
so it's condoms, vasectomy or abstinence!

Thanks. Think will raise issue of vasectomy.
