Ha! The little fecker is out. Growing increasingly concerned about copper toxicity from my copper coil as I have been exhibiting all the symptoms. So, I just pulled it out absent-mindedly. Am menstruating at moment, can I still use my mooncup? or is it infection risk?

I hadn't really connected all the symptoms together before though- also I started to think about the abortofacient action of it too (which I have been musing for some considerable time)- and i felt a bit so i just

Shock

OMG
Bleeding turned off like a TAP
Gushing before I took it out (I mean to the extent that even with mooncup and pad I was sitting on a towel on the sofa in case it leaked through jeans), not even enough for a panty liner overnight!

I can't stop staring at it though, weirdly fascinating.
I feel better already just knowing that it is no longer there

My mirena fell out (I noticed) and I couldnt stop staring at the thing either. They are fascinating arent they lol!

Was slightly confusing when the mad receptonist on the phone at the family planning clinic was busy telling me they cant fall out though and it was actually still inside me

MrsMattie · 17/03/2009 14:02

I have got pains up my narni now.

sugarplumfairy · 17/03/2009 14:07

Can I ask JohnnyTwoHats if you just had a regular coil and not Mirena? I have similar symtoms to yours and keep wondering if the coil is worth the problems.

bellavita · 17/03/2009 14:28

I had the gp take mine out yesterday, there is no way I would have attempted it myself...

Horton · 17/03/2009 14:44

I am crossing my legs very firmly. Ewww.

Indith · 17/03/2009 14:48

My Mirena fell out while I was using a mooncup....I should have started a thread! My sister tells me that the suction from a cup can make then come out. Do you think it is worth a thread in ethical living, what is greener, having a coil and using pads or a mooncup but using condoms?

They don't half look odd though I do agree.

Glad your symptoms have eased. Have been toying with the idea of another coil..think I'll leave it for now!
