How does it affect the body? Sadly I'm asking about my brother, A mutual friend stayed with him last weekend and she's just called me and told me how worried she is.

in waht way is she worried?

He's been drinking every night, sometimes starts drinking right after he gets up. She said his hands look purple and bloated!? He also complained about not going to the toilet normally.

I need to call him and see what's going on but I'm not sure how to approach it,

it could be any manner of things
