DD is nearly 6 weeks old but my '6 week' check isn't until nearly 8 weeks because of doctor's holidays etc. Is it okay for me to start using tampons now or do i still need to just use towels?

You can use tampons for your periods now, whether you have had a 6 or 8 weeks check. It is rare now to have an internal examination post childbirth any more, unless you have specified a problem. Just a general enquiry into your health.

Gosh have you firmed up enough?

thanks mears. If they're not going to check my stitches though, does that mean I can resume swimming now? I thought the whole idea of not exercising until after the check was so that they would check stitches etc.

If you feel well and that everything is OK down there, you can do whatever you want mckenzie
