first period after abnormal cells removed... is this normal?

this is my first period in 3 months as the couple of months after having my abnormal cells removed i continued taking the pill without a break so that i wouldn;t have a period whilst i healed up.

anyway ive been on now since wednesday lunch time and my period is very light whereas normally its quite heavy by now. also the period pains on and off are really bad. usually i only get a bad few hours on the first day but this is 3rd day and still the pain will suddenly come on really bad

is this normal? is something not right?

It might be worth getting it checked out, as very, very rarely, the cervix can become closed up after cervical treatment, so that the blood from your period can't come out of the womb like it is supposed to. It probably isn't that, as this is a very rare complication, but is worth asking about at least. It might well just be your body's reaction to you taking the pill continuously for a few months. That's bound to have an effect on how your breakthrough bleed presents itself subsequently. Why not go to the GP to put your mind at rest?

think im going to see how it is tonight as it has got a slightly bit heavier the last couple of hours (pains got a bit worse too) but if it is still not 'normal' by tomorrow morning then i might ring the on call doc at the hospital to see what they say. hope it hasn;t closed up!!
when me ad dp have has sex there has usually been a slight bit of blood too (i mean before i had my period) but it is usually a bit vigorus sex so i put that down to maybe disturbing where it has healed. but now im not sure

oh this is all horrible!! i hate hospital stuff
