I don't find NHS Direct any use when trying to work out what is wrong or if I need a doctor/nurse

patient.co.uk and netdoctor.co.uk are both good and reliable.

Thank you.

I will give them a try.

Hi Nabster,

As a rule of thumb, if it is worrying you and you don't know what it is and close family/friends can't give you any suggestions (or you don't want to ask them) then it's a GP thing :D

Be honest with them, tell them what is worrying you and go from there.. if it turns out it didn't need treatment then you will know what it is for next time, it is how we all learn and they won't mind.

The pharmasist is good for advice aswell. They will point you in the right direction aswell.

Thank you.

The nurse phoned me back, was absolutely lovely. I am seeing her next week and I will talk to her some more as I am really worried.
