Dh is having keyhole surgery next week on his knee for possible cartilage tear, he didn't really ask the doctor what it involves or how long it will take to recover. He has been called up for jury service 3 days after his op and seems to think he will be ok to drive. .

Can anybody tell me how fast recovery will be?

It depends really - DH has had this done 3 times - 2 of those he was walking OK the same day, would have been OK to drive in 3. The third, he was off his face on morphine for the pain all day, and was on crutches for 5 weeks, not able to do much at all for over a week. This was because it was much more than they thought and he had most of the cartilage removed in that knee.

Hope your DH will be in the majority for the fast recovery, but it's worth moving the jury service anyway as he will need to go to physio regularly. The physio is really, really important
