Is it a Virus?

I had a bit of a temperature about a week ago and since then have been so lacking in energy and tired. I don't have any other symptoms apart from a bit of a cough. I am normally a very active person and this is really getting me down. Anyone else got anything like this and how long did it take to get over it. Thanks in advance.

hi there - think I had the same, as did ds. seems to be a virus going round at the moment but if it keeps going for much longer I'd see your GP. mine only lasted a couple of days, ds a bit longer.

Thanks - don't feel much better today either - sore all over and generally not feeling my best. Will give it another day or so and then contact the GP. Thanks.

yes, I was aching badly and it felt as though my legs had run a marathon without me knowing about it. though mine was 36-48 hrs. why not make an appointment for Monday now then you know that you'll be seen if it hasn't improved over the weekend.

I felt simiar recently. I just didn't feel 'right' and my head was a bit wuzzy but I couldn't really put my finger on what was wrong. I went to the Dr only because I'd asked dh to stay off work to help me with the children. I felt guilty and I think he thought I was 'putting it on'.

The Dr said it sounded like a virus but when he listened to my chest he diagnosed pneumonia! Antibiotics got me back on top form in a couple of days. Have to say I was weirdly pleased because I'd thought it was all in my head.

It's worth getting checked out.
