Reasons for dizzyness?

Just lately I seem to be suffering from dizzyness, especially as soon as I sit or lie down, it last around 10 seconds, but often I have a dizzy spell just sitting still, what could it be? My blood pressure was fine last week so doubt its that.

could it be something to do with your ears and balance? Have you been to the doctors?

dilemma01 · 10/03/2009 20:59

No, have not been to gp as I have no other symptoms. I did perforate my eardrum 3 years ago and it never healed, I suppose its possibly something to do with that, though I know I have not got water in there as its happened sometimes and it hurts like hell.

It sounds like labrythitis (sp??) I had it a few years ago, but very severely in fact so bad I couldn't even sit in bed. I'd go to the doctors, they can give you motion sickness tablets.

Thanks I will go.

Meniere's disease?

Anaemia?

Labrynthitis?

Thanks, I suppose there are dozens of things it could be, I also suffer from mild tinnitus since perforating my ear drum.
