I have just tried mine for the first time (had it in the cupboard for months) and have found it to be quite sore. Have cut off nearly all the stem so not sure if it is the tiny bit of stem left or I am just wearing it too low. Could anyone describe for me exactly where they have cut it off at? I have cut it at the very first line and am worried if I cut any more off I will make a hole in the bottom!

You could try rounding off the edges of the cut. I used sissors to bevel the edge of the cut and then used a nail file to take off any sharp edges that were left.

Thanks, that's a good hint.

I cut it all off and smoothed it with a nail buffer.
I was a bit unsure at first as I did have it very low, I was scared of getting it stuck and it wasn't comfortable at all.
I now put it higher and it's better but I find a few clenches/light pushes sort of get it to it's own place.
I've only had it two weeks and I already love it, I wish I'd bought one years ago!

To be honest I don't think it will go any higher-but maybe I just need more practice??

I found folding it differently instead of just in half twice was better.
It's hard to explain but I mean folding in hlaf and then pushing one side down.
Try just after a shower, or in the shower, it might be easier.

Also, try different folds. I just discovered the 'c' fold and it fits much better that way.

This is useful

Thanks-will give that fold a try too. (Slept with it last night and lying down for hours definitely does the trick-couldn't find it this morning (sorry tmi!).
