Hi scardey,

Just got back from my first dentist appointment in god knows how many years....

Ok so it's not as bad as I thought it was (I was convinced I needed every tooth in my head filled)....I need an extraction,a crown, 3 fillings and a bloody good clean...and, the surprises are - I need a wisdom tooth taken out (thankfully the dentist can do it) and I need a problem with my gum sorted out....

I would say the worst thing was waiting in the room and having the guts to call them up in the first place...I feel much better knowing that things are moving now and I can get it all fixed up.

I think I have been lucky to escape gum deseise (sp) and other nasties..

I feel so much better and the dentist was fab and very understanding (I think the fact that she was a woman helped a lot)....

Unfortunately my medical insurance doesn't cover the lot - I will have to pay 500 euros for a white crown, 12o for the white fillings and 100 for the clean. I can't really afford it but I can't leave it any longer so it has to be found from somewhere....Thankfully DH is, as ever, very good about these things and has told me not to worry about the cost(I'm a SAHM)

Did you book an appointment yet scardey?
