Bleeding after miscarriage

I had a miscarriage last Tuesday (9 days ago) and have been bleeidng ever since. I had a scan on Monday to rule out whether I have any retained tissue and the scan was clear. I haven't been bleeding heavily, it's more blood when I wipe after going to the loo and a few drops throughtout the day. The bleeding seems to ease off and I get hopeful it's on its way out, but then the next day it starts up again. I just want it to stop. It's a constant reminder of what's happened . Sometimes I wonder if it's my period but surely a period wouldn't start up straight after a miscarriage? I know what you will all say- go to the doctor but at the moment it's the last place I want to go. I have posted on the miscarriage board but don't want to keep inundating the women on there with my constant questions...

Really sorry to hear about your MC, it's a very lonely and sad time and I feel for you. After my MC I bled for a long time too, I guess your body has a lot of cleaning up to do. It is a period really as the process is the same and the day the bleeding started is considered to be day 1 of a new cycle. My first cycle after my MC was very erratic and long but after that things got back to normal and I conceived again within 10 weeks of the MC. Wishing you lots of luck for the future
