Bleeding around ovulation, is this normal?

I have been to the doctors 3 times about heavy periods and spotting during the month but GP seems to think i just need to go on the pill to sort it out .

Anyway i had my period which lasted 10 days (finished 5 days ago), today i have had cramping (possibly ovulation pain) and slight spotting. Does this sound like ovulation? (sorry to sound thick), is it ok to bleed/spot when ovulating or should i be going back to my GP?

Hi there,
i often bleed when ovulating and have been to dr's about it who says this is normal for some woman, HOWEVER after speaking to others about it they say it can be a sign of something more serious so am going to see a different dr for a second opinion. Perhaps you could see a differnt dr aswell.

Yes, sounds familiar. Since having 2 caesarians and then the coil removed my periods now for the last 18 months have been so different, heavy for 2-3 days, then nothing, then another bleed somtimes a bit crampy and quite mucousy 7 - 10 days after start. Been to Drs who said it sounds like a hormonal thing in view of the fact it's the same every month and no other unusual bleeding.
But maybe you could get a referral to gynae if still worried Marne.
