Pelvic Floor gone all to pot, have you used one of these?

I have decided to face facts, my pelvic floor is not all it should be, it stands up to aerobics fine but recently I have been trying to do a little running and am experiencing slight problems.

I do regular pelvic floor exercises but wondered if anyone has tried one of these ? If so are they worth it.

Am off to look for the cones now!

that could be caused by a vaginal prolapse. try rocking back and forth before you get up from the loo and see if you pass more wee.

Thanks that clears it up. Must persevere with PFE, am a bit lazy with them!!!

Bossykate, will also try that thanks.

not sure that pfe help a prolapse actually... if it is a serious issue for you, you should ask your gp to refer you to a specialist women's health physio.

Wil discuss it with gp. if it was a prolapse would they have noticed it at 8 week check?

bossykate · 18/04/2005 23:08

probably not if it is a mild one and you didn't have an internal examination.

Is the TVT only used for people with bladder prolapse? I have just been to my dr and have been told that I have uterine and rectal wall prolapse! Will they give you surgery if your not 100% sure you have finished having a family? I am worried about this as I couldn't live with this for a few years on the off chance I may or may not have another baby. Things are quite bad down there so I probably wouldn't get pg again as I can't do anything. Maybe this would override the wait till finish family thing. Sorry for going on.

mishka - I was told that it was advisable not to have any more children, but that if I did they'd have to be c-section (not a worry for me, as I'd already had one). However, my problem sounds slightly different to yours, so they may advise you differently. Sorry to hear that you are having such a horrible time.
